Mfangano Island, Kenya, Africa - 2009

Cornerstone is sending a team to Mfangano Island located in Lake Victoria, off the Western part of Kenya, Africa in July of 2009. The team will distribute The Treasure a small, audio version of the New Testament in the Luo language.  Additionally, the team will teach about the importance of clean water, and help the island build water purification systems. The team will provide a mold for the filters and additional water filters can be made with materials that are available on the island.  The team will also teach about the importance of basic hygiene.

There are 12 people on the team and they are praying, preparing and fundraising to get ready for the trip.

Over Christmas Break, high school Juniors & Seniors head to Mexicali, Mexico to serve the Mexican Church.  Students do a variety of ministries from Bible Studies to sports outreach and construction work. The trip does have requirements and training.

Student Work Camps

Each summer students give one week to serve a community in need. Middle School and High School groups travel separately with adult leaders and serve in different areas of the country by doing projects from painting to roofing.
