We offer four Core Classes that we encourage everyone to take at Cornerstone.
- Exploring Church Membership (101) covers the basics of Christian belief, the United Methodist Church and Cornerstone's history. In this class you will learn what it means to be a member at Cornerstone and then choose whether you would like to join. Attendance at a Starting Point class (2nd Sunday of each month) is a pre-requisite for this class. Membership class is usually offered three or four times a year.
- A Closer Walk With God (201) explores four spiritual habits you can develop which will bring you closer to God in your faith journey. Offered periodically.
- Discovering My God-Given Potential (301) examines your SHAPE (Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences) for serving. Offered periodically.
- Understanding My Life Mission (401) looks at what God has called us to do with our lives. You will learn how to simply and effectively share your faith with others. Offered periodically.
These classes are usually offered in a 3 hour block of time on Sunday afternoons. Small Groups may also choose to have the instructor present the material during three group meetings (this option is not available for the Membership Class). Contact Bonnie Anderson, 698-3170, if you are interested.
