We consider it a privilege to be able to join students on their spiritual journey and we do not take it lightly. The number one influence in the life of a student is YOU! It is our goal to come alongside and help you as your student navigates middle school and their faith.

Ways to help your student connect:

• Help them get to church! This is a big initial step in opening the door for a student. Your personal commitment to making this happen will make a BIG difference in getting your student involved. If this happens, encourage them to check out SML (Sunday Morning Live), a middle school worship experience geared for them. We meet during both Sunday morning services, in Base Camp, the student area at Cornerstone.

• If your son or daughter is more shy, then maybe connecting to a Y-Cell (small group) is a good first step. Small groups are part of the DNA at Cornerstone and in student ministry. Y-Cells offer students an opportunity to be a part of smaller community that will grow together with adult leaders, committed to helping disciple students. Y-Cells meet on Wednesday nights.

• Connecting to the ministry through an event and trip can be just the ticket for your student. Going beyond the building to serve, share, and connect helps students to build the relationships that can change their lives. Events and trips are planned to help cultivate experiences with God in a variety of ways which in turn can help them deepen their walk with God.

• Help your student evaluate their gifts. Your student has gifts and talents given to them by God. As part of the body of Christ, we want to help students use and develop their gifts, which includes serving.

Curious about what we do?
You are always welcome to attend LIVE! or volunteer to attend an event or trip. We know that your student may not think it’s cool – but you can enjoy LIVE! from the loft and maybe they’ll never know.

Have Questions?
As leaders, we want to be on your team. We are not experts, but we do love students and work with them every day. If we can be of any help, please don’t hesitate to connect with Chris McKenna.
