We consider it a privilege to be able to join students on their spiritual journey and we do not take it lightly. The number one influence in the life of a student is YOU! It is our goal to come alongside and help you as your student navigates high school and their faith.

Ways to help your student connect:

• Help them get to church! This is big initial step in opening the door for a student. Your personal commitment to making this happen will make a BIG difference in getting your student involved.

• Tell them about and help them get to The Summit. The Summit is a program geared to reach high school students through relevant messages, music, fun, and discussion. We meet on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. in Base Camp, the student area at Cornerstone.

• Tell them to connect to a Summit Group. Small groups are part of the DNA at Cornerstone and in student ministry. Summit Groups offer students an opportunity to be a part of smaller community that will grow together with adult leaders committed to helping disciple students. Summit Groups meet during The Summit on Sunday nights.

• Building relationships is the foundation of our ministry to students. Our youth leaders want to help students become all God created them be as they pursue Christ together. Encourage your student to meet their leaders. Youth leaders are also interested in meeting you!

• Connecting to the ministry through an events and trips can be just the ticket for your student. Going beyond the building to serve, share, and connect helps students to build the relationships that can change their lives. Events and trips are planned to help cultivate experiences with God in a variety of ways which in turn can help them deepen their walk with God.

• Help your student evaluate their gifts. Your student has gifts and talents given to them by God. As part of the body of Christ, we want to help students use and develop their gifts.

• Help your student find a place to serve at Cornerstone. We are created to love our neighbor and serve which brings a feeling of fulfillment and connection. Students can be involved in The Summit through the band, tech, set-up, and greeting. Students are also welcome to connect to other areas of ministry at Cornerstone: cornerkids, special events, ushers/greeters, hallway hosts, light and sound techs, camera work, the band, worship team, etc….

Curious about what we do?

You are always welcome to attend the Summit or volunteer to attend an event or trip. We know that your student may not think its cool – but you can enjoy the Summit from the loft and maybe they’ll never know…

Have Questions?

As leaders, we want to be on your team. We are not experts, but we do love students and work them every day. If we can be of any help, please don’t hesitate to connect with Betsy Marvin.
